Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate The Masiello Group, through our partner Great East Title Service, offers complete title and closing services. We handle all types of transactions, from first and second mortgages to specialized cash transactions, at a time and place convenient to all parties.
We pride ourselves on delivering out-of-the-box support for our REALTORS® and their customers. When hiring Great East Title Services, you can take advantage of "Fast Track Title Services," a simple process that begins your title search before we receive the order from the lender. This gives your REALTOR® and Title Company more time to work through any issues that might arise and the result is a smoother transaction for you.
Our in-house title attorney will facilitate your closing, preparing your Power of Attorney and Deed, plus any other related documents at your request.
The Closing – The moment you've been waiting for is here!
The closing is the final exchange of legal documents, title & monies before you take possession of your new home. The buyers, sellers, REALTORS® for both parties, title company representative and, if necessary, an attorney will be present.
- You will most likely conduct a final walk-through of the property with your REALTOR®
- Bring a valid photo ID
- Provide evidence of homeowner's insurance (pre-paid for one year) to the closing agent
- Certified funds are required. Personal checks are not acceptable for closing costs. Please be sure to bring a treasurer's check, cashier's check or certified check for the monies due. You can wire funds directly to the bank for your closing. However, you must allow at least 24 hours for a wire transfer to be completed.
- Have your personal checkbook on hand for last-minute adjustments and prorations, such as leftover oil in tank, outstanding water bill, and courier or attorney fees.
- Get the keys and start enjoying your new home!
